Personal Care and Support
Personal Care is the name given to the regular routines and tasks that you may need to maintain your independence at home.
The term is usually used to refer to support given with personal hygiene and toileting, as well as keeping up your personal appearance. These tasks could include undressing and dressing, bathing, showering, applying creams and lotions plus toileting.
Whether you chose to have a Hourly Care package or the complete Live-in care, Personal Care and Support can be included. You may need help with medications and bandages or only getting dressed. Just let us know and we will arrange the right help for you. Acquire Care can arrange for a fully trained carer to help with your needs in a discreet and professional way.
Whilst Personal Care can cover other duties, the main ones are:
- Bathing or showering including bed-baths
- Dressing and undressing
- Oral hygiene
- Applying lotions or creams
- Applying make-up and doing hair-care
